QMS Switches On the heart of Auckland’s CBD

30 November 2016

QMS NZ continues to ‘Switch On’ Auckland with the unveiling of its most spectacular landmark digital billboard yet – ‘Downtown’. The 14-metre-high billboard towers over Auckland’s QE2 square, New Zealand’s busiest pedestrian precinct.

The large volumes of pedestrian and vehicular traffic experienced at this major CBD intersection, along with the sheer scale and impact of the site itself combine to deliver the most iconic landmark digital billboard in New Zealand to date.

Prominently positioned on the Mercure Hotel, at the intersection of Queen and Customs Streets, ’Downtown’ towers over the significant number of commuters exiting Britomart Station, the ferry terminal and downtown car parks, right in the heart of Auckland’s central head office precinct.

Surrounded by Britomart, Auckland’s vibrant entertainment hub, and walking distance to Queen Street, ‘Downtown’ offers the unique ability for advertisers to capture shoppers, CBD workers and diners alike.

QMS NZ CEO, Wayne Chapman, said “‘Downtown’ is an iconic landmark digital billboard in the heart of Auckland offering advertisers a world-class digital platform from which to showcase their premium brands.

The launch of this site represents a significant milestone in QMS’ digital development program, with 14 digital billboards currently across Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch and further launches planned before the end of 2016; our digital offering will be unparalleled.”

Inaugural advertisers on ‘Downtown’ include SKY TV, Coca Cola, American Express, Sony TV, Estrella and Emirates.
