Auckland Transport Appoints Ambient Group as Outdoor Media Partner

27 August 2015

Ambient Group today announces that it has been awarded the Auckland Transport (AT) outdoor advertising contract for a 9 year term including options. This strategic media partnership will see AT outdoor assets progressively consolidate under a single advertising platform to be represented by Ambient Group.

Together, AT and Ambient Group will develop a world class large and small format digital out-of-home network. This network will be the largest digital network in New Zealand providing advertisers with high frequency and mass audience reach.

Ambient Group will integrate its large and small format outdoor digital advertising into future projects and co-develop an audience measurement tool. Advertisers and media buyers will soon have a single point of contact for this exciting sector.

Auckland’s public transport use is growing, and there is a world class transportation network being created to support this growth. Ambient will work closely with Auckland Transport to ensure this system is coupled with a world class advertising network.

Chris Monaghan, CEO, Ambient Group says, “This announcement represents the single largest outdoor media opportunity the industry has seen for some time. We’re delighted that Auckland Transport tasked us with this great responsibility, and we’re excited to deliver an advertising solution that will change the face of the outdoor industry.”

“A recent partnership with QMS Media positions Ambient to maximise industry growth and digital opportunities as the network we develop with AT comes online. We’re poised to deliver high impact, highly visible and innovative advertising solutions across the largest outdoor network in the nation,” added Monaghan.
