QMS together with Fairfax Media Limited, launched a digital billboard campaign that delivered live news headlines right into the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
In an outdoor media first for Fairfax, QMS’ iconic digital billboard ‘The Flinders’ exclusively featured live headlines from The Age Newspaper as news broke.
Utilising remote URL hosting and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) technology, Fairfax were able to update copy and broadcast dynamic content in a matter of seconds as the day’s stories unfolded.

The concept formed part of a larger campaign for Fairfax, with static creative running in correlation with the dynamic content to highlight The Age’s quality of content, key editorial pieces and their positioning within the market as thought leaders.
Not only were Fairfax able to communicate current headlines but they were able to be strategic and relevant as a big news story broke.
